A storefront is ready to transact when every blocking check on Get ready to sell is complete. Open it with “What do I need to start selling?” or open_page (page: "seller_setup"). The rail header shows your status (for example “Live — attention”) and how many steps are done, for example “7 of 10 steps”.

The checklist

Each check shows its status (complete, partial, missing or optional), whether it blocks transacting, and the action to take.

Listing only, or a hosted agent?

Choose how you want to sell under Settings → How would you like to sell?:
  • Just list: buyers find you on Semicola and briefs pass straight to your own AdCP sales agent, after a policy screen. Free.
  • Create an agentic media company account: Semicola hosts a storefront agent that composes proposals from your products, playbook and library, billed per brief response in IUs.

Liveness

Once live, the storefront reports live, live_attention (something needs a look, such as a slow source) or live_critical (buyers cannot transact). You can put intake on hold at any time; buyers then see the storefront as unavailable.

Confirm your company identity

A new Seller account starts by confirming who it is: company name, website, how it wants to sell (LISTING_ONLY or AGENTIC_MEDIA_COMPANY) and its contracting country. An admin submits it with POST /api/v2/onboarding/media-company-identity; GET on the same path reads the current state. The intake moves AWAITING_IDENTITY_CONFIRMATION → RESEARCHING, then to APPROVED, or to EXCEPTION_REVIEW for a person at Semicola to look at. An unsupported country is refused (“Country not yet supported.”).

Readiness over REST

All under /api/v2/storefront: The domain checks are explained in Which domain is which.

Not available yet

  • A research-backed setup draft for approved applicants.
  • Discover agents: finding the operator and publisher agents a domain’s adagents.json authorizes.
  • The identity decision is automatic today: RESEARCHING lasts only while the admission check runs (usually well under a second). Your own sign-up domain, or a domain the brand registry knows, is approved; others go to exception review. There’s no human research step behind RESEARCHING.
